Recreation Engineering and Planning has played a key role in trial in several water related court cases.  As experts in the design and uses of whitewater parks both Gary Lacy, P.E. and Scott Shipley, P.E. have testified to the uses, design, functionality, safety, and expected performance of whitewater parks.  Both Gary and Scott have been qualified as expert witnesses in these areas and both are currently working with other communities to prepare for trial in ongoing water and water rights cases.
