Whitewater This project represents a technological advance for REP designed whitewater parks.
This project represents a technological advance for REP designed whitewater parks. Using innovative construction techniques, REP created six, varied, whitewater features and adjacent fish passages. The park turned a neglected stretch of the Uncompahgre River into a multi-use park with riverside trails, fish habitat improvements and bank access improvements. Montrose held its first annual whitewater festival in August 2015 and the park has become the premier whitewater park in the region in the first season. Each uniquely designed feature creates whitewater suitable for the variaty of crafts and users now regularly seeking out whitewater parks including; surfers, stand up paddleboards, kayaks, rafters and inner tubers.
